What are we tracking
...and what are SMW and whales?
We're actively tracking smart money wallets and whales. Mostly their DEX trades and in the future we want to make complex analysis of their interactions so we can provide if they entered some private/presales, staked any asset, etc.
Who are smart money wallets?
In our case the better naming should probably be smart money holders. Wallets classified as a smart money wallets in CoinSense need to meet following rules:
Enough PNL from last 6 months and last 12 months. How much is enough? That is tiered by how much is the wallet worth. It's easy to make +100% in last 6 month on a wallet with $10k but super hard to make +100% with assets worth $10 mil.
Wallet assets should be worth at least $10k
Average position age for the should be more than 24 hours (we focus on holders not on short catalyst players etc.)
Smart money wallets types
CoinSense track behavior of each smart money wallet and differ between:
1) 💪Holders: SMW with average holding time of token more than 7 days
2) 🎯Scalpers: SMW with average holding time of token less than 7 days
These categories helps our users to differentiate between tokens accumulated by long-term holders and tokens accumulate by scalpers (for a short flip).
Who are whales?
We classify whale wallets as wallets that made at least one DEX buy worth more than $50k. It doesn't matter if that wallet almost doesn't have any assets now. All that matters is it belongs to some whale.
